Ball Joint Question
Hey all,
I was replacing my upper ball joints today and I have a question. When I got the rivets out, the ball joint AND boot came out the top of the A arm. I tried to put the new one in the same way. Just like the book said. But the boot won't go in all the way if I put it in the top of the A arm. There is a ridge around it and it won't go in all the way. Does anyone see a problem in putting the ball joint in from the top, but the boot coming up from the bottom? My only concern is this is a place for the grease to come out (between the A arm and the boot. Anybody else ran into this? Any other suggestions? Thanks in advance, Brad
