I seem to have either lost my disc or loaned it out and I haven't loaded dyno on my new puter yet............this engine is a 421 sbc...

block is 4.155 bore
stroke is 3.875
comp. is 13.75 to 1 (or very very close to it)

AFR 220 cc aluminum heads......2.10-1.65 valves
62 cc chambers
6 inch rods
single plane Super Victor intake
alcohol Braswell 970 cfm carb.
open headers 1 3/4 tubes
cam is a Lunati solid roller specs are :
Dur. at .050 is 262 int. and 271 ex.
Gross dur. is 301 and 309
Lift is .626 and .626
int. opens at 29 deg. btc and closes 53 abc
ex. opens at 65 deg. bbc and closes 25 atc

Looks like hp is 487 at 4500 and tq 635 at 3000. If I got the #s right.

Desktop dyno is just a program to give you rough #'s. If you really want to know PUT IT ON THE DYNO. You can't get very exact with it. I'm sure it makes more but thats what the PROGRAM says like it or not.. Aint no need to crack on it. Looks like a stout motor to me. I'm sure it cost more than your go cart! So to speek. Nice mood huh!! Dont take offense just trying to loosen things up.

I wasn't "cracking" his engine!!!!!! I was just having some fun. I would only be happy to have a engine that made half that power! Sorry, but I did take offense. I was just kidding around. That's what "J/K" means, Just Kidding. And by the way...I don't have a go cart.

I thought my 415 was a wild motor. Where do you plan on putting this motor? The Hp numbers look low. Also, is that a stock damper on the front of the crank? I don't think those are suposed to see much action over 4500. Thats just getting this motor started isn't it?

Guys, you will be glad to know it was put on a dyno today.(it's good to have friends in the business)...........old engine pushes out just a taste over 600 hp.......Thanks for the help on this.....

we did some changing on the cam degrees........6 retarded, as a matter of fact and it went to 618 HP at 6,000RPM and 597 ft. lbs. of torque at about 5,000 rpm......................this is the way I like it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! whooooooooooohoooooooooo......Thanks for the input guys..............Brad aka "flyin99".or used to be...............
