Russell, i know what you're feeling man, i want to get down to 2 trucks for a while. as of right now, i've got my '77, my trail rig/project thing, and my '91. in addition i have 2 Grand Ams, a 95 and a 96. i'd really like to get down to just the DD and the '77, so that i can concentrate on both of them, and have room to work on them both as they both need it. SAS on the DD is starting to get tempting again. just gotta find a Ford D44 front axle...

You got any pictures of the new rig yet? Is it an automatic or a manual?

I'd tend to say that it was a fairly fair trade. The 74 ran like a brand new truck, but had a fairly rough / multi-colored body, while this 89 has a fairly tired 305, and a slipping tranny. The interior needs a bit of work too. Body sure is dang nice though!

Alright, got some pictures for you guys:
Keep in mind this truck has 500 000 km (310 000 miles) on the clock. Both doors need some adjustment, they are kinda tough to close, and open (saggy hinges). The interior is pretty decent. The front seat has a tear and some stains in it, and it kinda smells like smoke. Not too bad though. The door panels both need new pull straps, and both doors need some lock work (driver's side door lock cylinder came undone, pass side cylinder is so worn it doesn't work anymore). The tilt needs to be rebuilt, and it needs a new dash bezel. The 305 is pretty tired -- Smokes a bit, and ticks when you first fire it up. The TBI works quite well though, the 700r4 also slips if you romp on it, but is fine if you take it easy. The truck is fully loaded (AC, pw/pl/ps, tilt, etc etc) and most everything works but the dash lights :P I plan to replace the dash with a newer one that has needle gauges / working dash lights, for now I will just use the little switch that was for the LP fuel switcher before to turn the dash lights on when I need them. Outside is in real good shape otherwise though If I put some time and effort into it, and not blow up the 305 / 700r4, I can likely get a good 4 - 5 grand for the truck when it comes time to put the 80 K25 back on the road
