Map Light
This is an S-10 type map light, Went in pretty easy. I ran the wires through the windshield frame. Made my connection to the light switch dome light wire. Since I run with the rag top or no top this makes a great dome light.

Nice install. Where/how did you run the wires? I was thinking about adding some strip lights under the bed rails so their could be some light in the back when the top is off.
I have seen OEM mirrors with the map lights on e-bay from time to time. I assume it was a fairly rair option. It sure would be nice in a Blazer with the top off.

Great idea.
Can you see much of the wires coming out of the windshield frame? Or is your blazer a 71 and older that mounts to the frame itself? |

Thats a pretty sweet set-up I installed some neon under the rear bed rails last year on my blazer.. They looked and worked really well but I had to remove them when I was welding up holes and have not gotten them in yet..

Here are pictures of the wire. I just ran the wire through the windshield frame. Took off weather stripping on corner of windshield frame to make the turn, then drilled a hole under dash in lower windshield frame to exit wires.
