Finally got some new headlights for the blazer today won em off evil bay... Seem to need a little adjustment but are great other than that.. BTW how do you guys aim your head lights????

What's the little blue bulb at the bottom for?. They look nice and clear.

I have also seen these on e bay. The thing I am wondering is how long the bulbs last. I put some of those bulbs in my wifes Durango & one burned out rather fast. As far as aiming them I usually park it in the garage about 6' from the wall & aim them so they are even then drive it at night & see if they need to be raised or lowered.

Those do look great. I always wondered how they would look on one of these trucks. Great add-on. How do they work?

I always pulled mine up to the garage door and lined them up side to side, then went out on the road and set the height.

i think there is a special way to aim the lights on most cars.. you have to part towards a wall X amount of feet back and then measure on the wall X amount of feet/inches hight. and your ready set go.

dont know where to get that info tho. probably a service manual i would thing.

Luv not sure about the h-4 conversion I had halogens in it before so it was just a direct plug in with the exception of having to drill out the headlight bucket for the little light.. yes they seem to work great. The little blue bulb is called a city light I have not hooked them up just tested em out. (need a good switched 12v source.) If the bulb's do not last too long I will get a set of silverstars for it.. My expedition has em and they are b!tchin....

I'd bet a beer that the "city light" is what we in Canada call "daytime running lights". A few years back the law was changed so all new vehichles sold in Canada had to have lights that came on with the ignition. Some buddies went to Daytona for the 500 and were talking to some locals. One guy said " what's with you Canadians with your headlights on in the daytime? we can always spot you a mile away" to wich my buddy replied " works good, doesn't it".

I have the same lights, the "city light" is pretty close to the size of a 194 bulb, not terribly bright. I don't even think you'd notice them during the day. It'd be neat if they were bright enough to be a DRL though. Cool lights either way, I've been pondering putting orange lights in place of the blue ones, and integrating them into the running lights or turn signals.

chevyboy55, I've heard that if you touch the bulb with your fingers, it will burn out fast...don't know the details of it but they might have burnt out quick b/c you touched it while installing.

The oils in your skin will cause the lights to burn out quickly but not sure on Why this happens.

i think they burn out quicker because the oil on your skin creates a hot spot on the bulb.

I have the H4 Hella 7" rounds but they aren't as attractive. I tried APC 7" rounds but the rubber boot don't fit threw the hole in the head light holder. I really like Street Beats tri-bar diamond cuts. Wonder if they'll fit threw the hole? What brand are the ones you bought FRENCHBLUE72?

Bagged72 not sure on the brand I got em from e-bay member racing9motor or something like that... I only paid a dollar fro the lights but the killed me with the 25$ shippping but I feel the total price was worth it..

bagged72blaz, i'm not sure if they are APCs, but i bought some on ebay with the "halo" a while back and had the same problem...do you know what they do fit so i can try to sell them...do they fit jeeps?

Oil from your skin will cause a weak spot on the glass. Use latex gloves.

I think they are called city lights because in the city it is bright enough to drive without your headlights on. City lights are more like parking lights, or marker lights.

We have daytime running lights as well, they are two different things. JMHO

That is correct, the oil from your skin gets so hot it damages the bulb.
