I got a 67 4wd SWB coming......

I recently ended my search for an original 4wd SWB. I got a 67 Chevy off e-bay yesterday, just wainting on it to arrive from Oregon. By the way, I'm using DAS (Dependable Auto Shippers), they quoted me $900 for insured delivery from Oregon to South Carolina......A lot cheaper than I have been hearing from some people. It will take 10-12 days to get here though.

I used DAS on my red rocket from Washington to Colorado. They were pretty cheap around 500.00 and did an OK job. I am using Fleet to get my new '68 'burb from Arizona to Missouri. DAS wanted 850.00 Fleet only 600.00. They were the best price. I went to some webpage and requested a quote and got at least 15 quotes back.

I hope it looks as good up close. Everything is factory, and the paint is 2 years old. I can't wait to get it. It was the best one I could find anywhere and it was only $5000 plus the shipping. Everything around here was $4000 to 5000 for a rusty project.

Good luck with the hunting 68cajun, when will you be here, Nichols store is about 10 minutes from my house. They are great to deal with.

Very cool truck!! You sure don't see many 67 small window short 4x4's either. Definitely an uncommon truck, I would love to have that one!!

Oh yea, the air cleaner will probably be the first thing to go. He also has a chrome cowl vent......that will be the second thing to go. Just waiting on paypal to clear so we can get this on the road.

I really like trucks with the chrome trim around the front end. I don't understand why people shave that part. It looks like they got rid of the clamp holes

Dunno if you like that kind of thing though.

The chrome was a late model year introduction for 67 and became standard on 68's. If you bought a 67 you could take it back to the dealer and get the chrome pieces installed, most did not. I doubt few if any 67's came from the factory with those pieces installed. What you see on this white 4x4 is correct for 67, not shaved by a PO

it's a SB - look @ the bolts for the covers - 4 and not 7
BBC has 4 on the bottom and 3 on the top
SBC has 2 on the bottom and 2 on the top

and the center two exahust ports are adjacent to eachother...BBC are seperated

pretty sure all BBC had Passenger side dipsticks (the pict shows driver side dip stick)
