Need help with washer pump

I just bought a new wiper motor and washer pump. When i hooked them up and tested the wipers and water go on at the same time. If i turn wipers to hi the water just pumps faster. Did i hook something up wrong or is it a bad switch? Thanks in advance.

It sounds like your pump is engaged all the time. Try unhooking the pump wires and see if it stops. If it stops then the switch may be bad. If the pumping does not stop, either the pump is not on the wiper motor correctly or the mechanism in the pump has a problem.

If i unhook the pump and turn on wipers it stays the same (always pumping) If i leave the pump pluged in and unhook the motor nothing works at all so im guessing its the switch Is there more than one way to attach the pump to the motor?
thanks again

lets see

It seems like you probably are using the same hot as the wiper motor.... or the switch is shorted out... But it seems odd that everything else works fine for the switch to have shorted out... I have the schematic, if this doesn't work, have fun with a multimeter... but chances are better than 50/50 that its a wrong wire hook up... hope it helps
