Chrome wing windows?
I just scored some very nice chrome wing windows from a 68 or 69 panel truck. I've never seen this type before. It has the chrome around the glass and on the inside/outside of the post. Is this something rare or is it that I just don't get out much?
These will look sweet in my stepside though.

Those came in any truck that had the higher trim level options. Base model trucks like C/10's, C/20's, etc had black painted ones, the Custom and CST trucks had the chrome ones.

Thanks guys. I must say, out of the hundreds of trucks I've seen in junkyards, I don't ever recall seeing this type before. Sure glad I didn't miss these. And best of all, I paid $15 for the pair!

Man. That's a great price. The PO of my truck painted over the chrome. I don't want to pay for new ones, so I'm going to look in to how much it will cost to rechrome them.

I don't think those are actual chrome, it's stainless steel. Take the paint off and have them polished.

4tires: try POR 15 stripper to remove the paint 1st. That stuff is extremely strong.
