Need brake hose part number or suggestions
Hey all,
My local parts store doesn't stock a front brake hose for a 72 1/2 ton. They have plenty for a 73. They show that the calipers are the same, but can anyone tell me if the front brake hoses will work from a 73? Surely someone has ran into this before. Thanks in advance, Brad

I had the same problem. No-one carried them locally except napa. They wanted $53 each. I ordered a pair from LMC for something around $30 for the pair. Shipping was fairly quick, but my truck was tore apart anyway.... sorry, but I don't know if a '73 is the same.

How are the hoses routed? There are at least two different 73-87 styles. The hoses on my 84 run to the rear of the upper control arm. A bracket that is attached to the hose bolts to the back face of the control arm. I think the earlier 73-87 hoses attach to bracket that are part of the conrol arm and are shorter.
I used hoses from a late 60's Impala on a 63 that I put discs on several year ago. The wagons and big cars with heavy duty brakes use the same brakes as the trucks also. |

They go in front of the control arm. The brackets are bolted to the frame (or crossmember). I can't tell what would be the difference unless it has a different fitting on it or something.
