WANTED! Temp sensor and alt bracket

I need a known working temp sensor for a 72 K10. The one in the driver side head of the motor. Also, an Alternator bracket. The lower bracket not the top long one. Also, mounts on the drivers side head. I'm in san diego and will pay right away.

thanks,
James

you can get both of those parts at your local autoparts stores. the alt bracket is made by mr. Gasket and you can just ask on of the store reps for the right temp sending unit.

Hi white,

I bought a brand new sensor from LMC and now I get no reading at all. I'm assuming those things are application specific and I dont want to buy another that I cant use. Thanks for the tip on the bracket.

i bet you have a sensor for the opposite of what you have. if you have a dummy light it takes one type of sensor and likewise for a guage set up. I have a 83 350 in my truck and i got a guage sensor for it of that year motor and it works fine in my guage set up fro my 68. plus if it dosen't work you can take it back!!

I'd definitely buy a genuine GM alternator bracket. The GM one is cast iron and much more sturdy than aftermarket ones.
