OK...sorry guys...here's the vitals..

'79 ShortWide

421 sbc full roller, 287/287 with 567 lift Herbert cam, 10.5 Weiscos, Scat crank and rods, 750 BG Speed Demon on AirGap intake

TH400 from Monter Motorsports with a TORCO 3500-3800 stall

12 bolt with 3.42's and Eaton locker

SSBC Force10 4 caliper polished setup with 13" front rotors and 11.5" rears

22x10 Boyd Dictators (6" bs on rear and 7" bs on front) with Hankook 285/35/22's and 325/40/22's.

Western Chassis 6/8 static drop

PPG Aston Martin Cumberland Grey with a silver flake mixed with copper flake in a 75/25 mix. (gives a very slight green tint to the paint in direct sunlight)

Hey...everybody like the two different shaded light bezels LMC sent me?

question....paint them dark or light to match? I'm thinking dark (i.e right side).

I like the dark ones too (but they are actually on the left side of the vehicle).

That's a sweet looking truck. One thing I did on my 79 that you might be interested in is that I changed out the front trim and headlight bezels to 73-78 and IMO looks much cleaner. Now people think it's a 78 but it's a 79

I thought about that before it went to paint (since I would have needed a different valance) but decided to keep it the factory way. This truck is a two owner and decided that it shouldn't be changed.

VERY NICE! How do the wheels fit? Any clearance issues? You know,... if you were ordering wheels again would you change the backspacing any? Keep us up to date with pics! Also,... do you still have the Blazer in your avatar?

The wheels are perfect...the tires have MAYBE 1/2" clearance in the rear on the front inner-side top...but I had already planned on mini-tubbing the bed. The only fitment problems are with the front brake calipers but I knew that from the start. I'll be running 3/4" spacers for that. I may drop it a tad more and I'll more than likely have to run it without the innerfenders until I can fab some sheetmetal ones...but that's not a big deal to me.

With a smaller tire the rears would be no problem...but I wanted the biggest rear I could find.

I would absolutely order them again.

I sold the Blazer before Christmas....I loved it and miss it, but I had too many projects going on...and wanted to concentrate on the '79. The guy that bought it has it in the bodyshop now doing a full resto on it...can't wait to see it when he's done.

As far as your bezels go, I'd go with darker ones as well. I think it gives the front more depth. But I guess it all depends on the type (color) of the grille you end up with. The headlamps look cool too.

I also was wondering about the front wheel fitment. But, it sounds like you got it covered. I did have a question on the rear wheels. Did/Do you have any problems mounting/running the 325s on the 10" wide wheel?

I took the wheels to a good friend of mine who works at a Cadillac dealership here in town to have the tires mounted. He is used to mounting large wheel/tire combos and I trust noone else. To be honest the front tires were a BEAR to mount due to the small sidewall....but the rears were a ***** to get the bead to pop...took almost 60 psi to pop them. I'll try to get a good pic of the rear tire, but I like the way it sits on the rim...little bit of bulge but not too bad.
