I'm not trying to sound like an ass, but isn't that something you should have asked before you ordered it??? With that said, I wouldn't mind knowing myself, also how much is it?

From another thread. Good to see the search function is functioning.

Just thought I'd pass this info along.

There's a company called MSX International that will send you a free restoration packet for your Chevy/GM truck (and probably car). The packet includes all the original specs for your vehicle (body dimensions, model #s, hp, torque specs, etc.). Everything about the original factory specs.

The packet also includes a "past model information" booklet (xeroxed) that includes the following:

Extended Storage Guide
Overview of GM Restoration Parts Licensing Program
GM Restoration Parts Licensees
Cowl Tag Guide Ordering
GM Performance Parts Publication Ordering
Gm Restoration Parts Reference Guide Ordering
Past Model Parts Suppliers
Automotive Publications
Automobile Clus and Museums
Sanctioning Bodies

Tons of parts suppliers listed.

Seems like a great resource. Just call them at 1-800-222-1020 with your VIN #, and they will send the packet in 4 to 6 weeks. Slow mail, but the price is right (FREE).

Hope this info helps.

It'll list the standard equipment, optional equipment, engines and drivetrains for your year truck. This information is included for series 10-30 trucks and burbs, both 2 and 4wd.

You also get a lot of stock measurements (height, lenght, etc).

I like it because it tells you what gear ratios were standard or option for a given drivetrain. It also gives you engine specs, torque, HP, etc. Tire sizes and on and on.

Its the ultimate bible for the stock crowd

I got mine 6 months after I ordered it. yes, it does include a bunch of stock info...but after taking the info out and looking at my truck I found out really fast that hardly anything matched. Since I'm probably not going to be a stock boy any more it's not much use to me.

I ordered mine Monday and got it Thursday. I was a little dissapointed in what I received, but you cannot complain about something that is free. I will have to try MSX international to see what they hand out.

MSX is the same as the one you get at GM...look at the phone number, it is one and the same.
I have one from every year 67 - 72, if you have a 69, then I recomend telling them you have a '70 also, there is alot of info missing on the 69 packet. It is the most pathetic of the bunch.

I just ordered mine. They had a hard time finding it, though. I hope I get the right one.
