Arrow Complete Auto Meter Gauge Clusters for our trucks for sale!!!

Hey guys, I just found out that Covans Classic will have complete Autometer Gauge Clusters for our trucks. I spoke with them and they stated that they should be available for shipping next month. This http://covansclassic.com/parts/items...8205.144.50.57 link lists the different gauge cluster combos but they don't have the pictures yet. Swervin you should have put a patent on yours.. Post your opinions on prices, likes and dislikes. I can't wait to see the pics..

The only thing that I can see that may be a problem is that they are only offering the 3 3/8" Speedo and Tach...should be the 5" to keep a better "factory" look.

But $799 for a "plug-n-play" gauge set it doesn't sound too bad.....

I know when I first saw it I thought it was a bit pricey, so I did a rough estimate on adding 2 5" gauges and 4 2 2/16" and the gauges would run between the $480.00 to $500.00 range from depending on which gauges. Then the painless wiring is about $65.00 from Summit and I estimate if you bought a good used bezel from ebay or something for about $60.00 and maybe any other little items you may need like LED's or something it could run you around $650.00. You may be able to get some new gauges cheaper from somewhere else. Like Swervin said so far I only see Covan's mounted on the front and not thru the back but it depends on what you want. Also like Crush said they (Covans) is using the 3 3/8" size gauges. I may have would considered if they were 5". I may have to go the Swervin route and take my time or send all the parts to make and pay him to have the headache.. I don't want Dakota Digital

I'm just gonna purchase the one w/o the gauges and with the holes already cut,It's cheaper to buy it like that and purchase the gauges seperatly,I got Auto Meter street rod series from summit for $249 shipped a complete set cept for tach and the panel w/o gauges from covan is $229 plus shipping so It's cheaper to do it the way I did just an FYI.Just waiting on Covan to have them available

I've got a tach and speedo like Mike's and was going to mount it in like he did but I'm going to mount from the front for now since I'm using a junk bezel. It will hide more of the bezel faults that way

Is there any other brand out there that does a 5" speedo and tach set in the original OEM looking housing?

Swervin, would you be interested in building a guage cluster for me? I could send you the dash bezel and instrument cluster case, and you buy and install the guages?

It's a 73-76 cluster however (wood grained surface), so I'm not sure if it's exactly the same as the brushed metal bezel of the later year models?

If your interested, let me know, and of course, price it to be sure it would be worth your while and trouble to do!
Thanks, Greg.

Yeah, didn't they say it was just about to come out a year or 18 months ago?

i noticed it said speedo sending unit sold separately. it dosen't say how much much it is or the part number. why would you need one anyway? is it an electrical speedo? i put autometer gauges in my 82 camaro awhile back and the cable plugged into the new speedo just like the old one.

Here is an actual picture of the ones they are making. He purposely left the radio area blank and uncut. When I talked to him he said it made more sense to let the person installing it decide waht type of radio they wanted.
