big block in small block mounts

for those of you that put a big block in the small block mounts and towers what headers are you using or manifolds. part numbers and pics if possible thank you adam

My son has a 72 Blazer that we put a BB in on the small mounts. The manifolds are 72 MC. Here is a picture of them:

Jhow, please elaborate more on your mounts or mods needed.

On a 2wd truck, at least, the big block manifolds hit the small block frame stands, not even close to clearing.

Tex I am pretty sure the blazer is 4wd and should have very minor triming to get those to fit...

Will try. The Blazer had a SB when purchased. We had a 402 that came out of my 71 Cheyenne. We pulled the SB and replaced it with the 402 (manifolds and all-the engine was a 72 MC as were the exhaust manifolds) We had to cut notchs in firewall for the valve covers (we use tall ones to clear roller rockers) but stock ones would not clear either. We used a HEI at first but the cap did not clear so we used a points dist. with Pertronix kit (part # 1181) and a MSD cap (part # 8433-uses HEI style wires-which we already had). Used SB power steering pump with Allen Grove bracket (part # 403L). Used the fan shroud that was on the small block (don't know if it was the right one for the Blazer) by cutting the circle shorter and shifting it to the right( made new top brackets--used 18" Flexlite fan--part # 418). As far as the dist. goes you could probably use a HEI as we installed a 6" TC lift which drops the rear of the transfer case 1" which puts the cap against the firewall.
