20 gal X $2.00/gal @ 10 MPG = $$$$$$$$$

Mine gets 14 and I only drive it maybe twice a month now.

Yeah, I would also have to say right around 10 mpg depending on how much of a lead foot you got.

When I was looking for an intake someone offered a torker very cheap. My motor was completley stock so...That really wasn't the right one for me.
I noticed you did have some work in the motor. How is the low end torque with your setup?

Yup, 10 mpg is about all you'll get. 350, 3.73s, no overdrive-- I wouldn't expect any more than that.

I only get 12.5 on average, 14 max out of the 350/TH700R4/3.73 combo in my 2WD, 5,400-lb. Suburban. I do get 10 when towing, though...

I have about the same setup, with stock 882 heads and the 1104 cam. 700R4, and 3.73s and I'm doing good to get 12 with it. It does have a small leak somewhere in the tank, but I cant track it down.....So good luck trying to get more than 8-10 with the TH350.

Mine gets 14 too and I probably drive it at least 50 miles every day. Its still cheaper than a new truck payment.

I would guess that a new full size truck with a V8 probably doesn't get but around 16 or 17 mpg.

I must be kind of lucky then. I just recently converted my 74 C20 from a 4 speed manual to 4 speed auto and during the warm weather It gets in the 18 to 20 range. Yeh I know you are all saying but I'm not kidding. Here is the build spec. It's nothing great but it will keep up with most new ones that's the nicest part.

350 .060 flat tops
993 heads
Cam: Meiling 278 int. 288 exh. 0.50 duration 204int. 214 exh.
Torker II intake
Q-Jet carb
700R4
14 Bolt FF 4.10 Gov Lock
