Funny Little Hoses

Ok...Another question....There is a hose coming off the back of the blower fan for the heater in the engine bay. Where is that suppose to hook up to?

Thanks,
Goose

It is to cool the fan motor--AC trucks have a bigger motor and fan cage then non-AC trucks. There should be a hole in the box for it to attach to.

Hmmm....This is a MONGRUL blazer. From what I can tell, the previous owner swapped several pieces from different years of blazers/trucks to make this one. I don't have AC, yet I have holes in the firewall for AC fittings.

With this in mind, do I need to route the hose into the passenger compartment, away from the heat of the engine so it can pull some fresher air? Any ideas?

Thanks,
Goose

no you dont have too run it inside just fix it so muddoobers, or other junk cant get in it !!! like put a small filter or sumthing on it. i got a old farm truck that dont have a hose on it at all and it works fine been like that for years

Thanks for the assistance guys.

Unfortunately, BobbyK, my heater unit looks a little different than yours since mine is without A/C. Thanks for the picture.
