??? about GM nos part

I purchased a nos ignition bezel and it is a lot heavier than the aftermarket one I got earlier ,but the part has canada stamped on it all well as a sticker saying made in canada. So my question is, is this a nos part? were parts for these trucks made in canada? any and all replys will be appreciated Randy

yes

Yes, it could be nos. In fact many of these trucks were built in Canada. It sure beats the hell out of anything produced by GM in mexico now.

Thanks I thought it was because of the look and feel, but the reassurance is appreciated. Randy
