Exhaust options/help?

Ok, I have an exhaust leak coming from the passanger side (bottom of the manifold area). I took it apart, the pipe and heater riser/spacer thing-a-magig. However I cant get to the top of the pipe to clean it up. The previous owner welded the exhaust system together so I can dismantle it to clean up that end. I assume it needs a new donut gasket and flange gasket and it would be good to go? However since I can get to the top of it to clean the pipe I dont see this being easily accomplished. I dont see any holes in the pipe or muffler. What should I do?

I looked on summit racing and found this pre fabricated system. I am not even sure this part number will fit a 4x4 since its listed only for a C10?
HOK-16621HKR $ 159.88

Local muffler shop says they can do from the manifold back for between $ 180.00 - 220.00. Thats with the aluminized 16 gauge steel 2 1/4" pipe.

If I do get a new system what muffler should I go with? This isnt a show truck or even a nice truck so I dont really want to be spending 100 bucks a piece of mufflers.

Or should I try to remove the weld and break the pipes apart, clean the top of the pipe and put the new gaskets on it and let it be for awhile?

Its a 1970 Chevy K10

You should be able to get a set of cherrybomb glasspacks from autozone for about $35.

Jegs has some "Value" priced Thrush turbos mufflers under 20 bucks each. They sound pretty good.
Of course me being cheap, and usually financially challenged,I would repair what was there if possible.
