'burb headliner: can a '93 fit in a '72 and how??

I just bought some front and second takeout seats from a '93 suburban. Both are 60/40 split and come with the seat belts. He wanted $500 for the third seat! I'll keep the original and re-cover it for that.

I'm keeping all the original stuff (seat, belts, etc.) in the barn after they come out for a full resto some day...they look like fully aged crap now and need to be rebuilt and re-covered.

Anyway...

My headliner is chipped, cracked, flacid and nasty. I'd like to put in a newer one for now, just to clean it up, along with a roof-console thing. My wife would dig that, she could cram all kinds of crap up there.

Any idea if its a relatively easy swap to put a newer one in an older burb and not make it look like crap? Anyone done it before?

I've got the rear AC, but I suppose you could cut around it and make it look flush.

Thanks again for any help.

Here is one I put into my '66 panel. They are only 54" wide, I could have used a couple of more inches. Got foam backed material at Pacific Fabrics for $6/yard, 54" wide, but it looked grey but is light purple. Have not figured out neat way to trim it up yet.
