BB Power steering reservoir hose
I have a 70 C20 Big Block truck with the remote steering reservoir. The hose to the pump was replaced with what looked like heater hose when I got the truck. I have since replaced it with new 3/4 heater hose. Does anyone know if the original hose is reproduced or where I can find the correct replacement?
Thanks in advance

heater hose will work, but it isn't a good idea. you can get the right stuff at napa.

I was going to try Danchuk or some other vendor that caters to the Chevelle crowd. The remote reservoir is the same on them...

I thouht it was heater hose just used...has some lines grooved the length of it unlike newer hose. Might still be available, never looked for it. Had lots of older cars with heater hoses that looked same.

Heater hose is not rated for oil. Try some hydraulic hose, you can buy that in bulk at napa.

Try Gates LOL Plus hose, it' designed for low presure oils and fluids. Should be available at local parts stores.

Thanks for your ideas. I don't like the idea of using heater hose and it collapses when it makes the sharp bend required to get from the reservoir to the pump. I'll try NAPA.

Original parts group has the hose. Part number is CH20278. $25.45 each.
Pricey but correct. I just looked it up for a Chevelle big block. Thanks for the help everyone!
