Question Largest fuel cell you can fit?

My '72 already has a fuel cell under the bed that was done by the previous owner but it is only a 14 gallon tank. Given my truck's less than great mileage and the small tank I am filling up every other day.

Since everything is already in place I am just looking to replace the tank with a larger one one of these days. What's the largest fuel cell you guys are putting under the bed? Also, is it better to go with aluminum or plastic? I currently have a plastic tank.

Standard Blazer tank kit for our trucks is 21 gal. Some people with lowered trucks don't like it cause it's close to the ground...but they work nicely. Or you can do the Fuel cell Guy custom tank which is lil' more $ but doesn't hang so low. I think it's around 19 gal.???

I have a 24x20x10"deep aluminum fuel cell. It would fit in correctly in a LWB. In a shorty I need to order a ECE rear crossmember for it to fit.

On wood floor beds take crossmember out and replace it with 3/16 flat steel and shorter bolts with nylock nuts.
