OK I'm going to have 20's soon, and want to run the cheaper 275/45/20 tires. 111.00 at http://www.tirerack.com

So my question is where do I get a tub that will work good in my blazer? I plan on taking my bump stops out of my CCP c-notch soon, and modifing my bed floor, and doing the thin body mount drop. So I think the tires will rub the top of the stock wheel wells. I'd like to just cut the upper portion of the rear wells out and rounding them.

For the front I'm thinking of just removing the inner fenders, adding a ramair box to keep the filter clean. And truck bed lining the inside of the fenders, and the under side of the hood. Will I have to mod the hood hinges?

I'm bagged allround, with dropped lower SoLo arms. Pictures would be great.

Anyone running that size tire and bags?

That is alot of tire to run on the front of that truck....I'm running a 245-40-20 and I had to do alot of cutting to get mine to clear my front wheelwells...but that is on a 63. Your hood hinges probably wont work and your tire will probably hit your firewall! Start cutting!

Mostly the reason is $$$$ it'd be cheaper to modify for larger diameter tire now than buy multiple high dollar tires later. I doubt the tires will hit the firewall but we'll see. Thats why I bought two wheels, and I'll get two tires soon. That way I can check everything. Also ride is better with taller tires.

To play you got to pay! If your crossmember is in the stock location and you plan on laying the frame on the ground the wheels WILL hit your firewall! Get ready to cut alot of stuff to make that tire work...
If you saved a few more bucks you could get smaller tires and make it easier on yourself to lay out!

I'll soon find out. They may hit the heater coil box on the firewall. But thats why I'm only getting two wheels and two tires for now. To check fit. If they don't work on the front I'll get low pros for the front, and use the 275/45s on the back.

That don't mean you need to blow money when it can be avoided. And like I said previously I want to run the biggest diameter tires possible for better ride. (Seeing as I drive it every day) And another useful thing with setting it up for a larger diameter tire is that if someday I win the lotto, and want to put say 22s or even 24s on the front with some ultra low pros, I'll be ready!!

So back to the topic at hand. Does anyone have pics of blazers/trucks with rear tubs. I'm thinking I can maybe do a 2" wider wheel well with a small tub for the exhaust squeeze my buckets between them, mod the set brackets, and make a raise in the bed floor for pumkin.
