what's this truck worth?
I finally found a truck and wanted to know about how much it's worth. All I have is a small pic though. It's a 69 c10 2wd fleetside shortbox. It has a rebuilt 350 with about 60k on it. Nothing really done to the engine except an edelbrock carb. It idled pretty good. I did not drive it yet. The body is in fairly good conditon. It need paint but almost all of the sheetmetal is dent free. As for rust, the only rust that I saw is around the driprails. Not too bad though. Also, under the doors are rusted out, but not visiable from the outside. The cab corners and rockers were good, but it looked like at least one rocker had been replaced before. I didn't get underneath the truck yet because it was unfortunately raining when I looked at it. So what do you think??

BeWARE
Well..
Speaking from experience, I bought my 68 GMC from a "friend" for $3,500 and within the first month I had to replace the carberator, the vaccum advance, the brake master-cylinder, the voltage regulator, the alternator, the power booster went out, the horn fell off in my lap, the exhaust pipes fell down and the gas pedal broke off along with the rear-view mirror, But..ya know what I still love that truck. Oh yeah..also good luck finding out credible info about your vehicle, it seems like late 60's gmc's are somewhat of an enigma. Good luck. |

Make sure you look at it in dry weather before you buy it. Rain tends to hide A LOT. Looks like a cool little truck. If all of the metal is really straight I think that adds a lot to the value.
