Lowering a 73 suburban

Hi i have got a 1973 gmc suburban it has duallys and c30 front end as well and i am asking 2 questions 1 is i would like to lower it and no one here knows much about them or it
I would like to know how to stop the front brakes rateling they are very noisy when you hit even the tinyst bump and i want some new or second hand good rear drums for a c 30 thanks
