GMC grilles?

I'm new to owning a GMC so I dont know the difference between the 3 GMC grilles, can someone show some pics of the different ones and the years? are they interchangable? is one more desirable than the other?

What are some of the other differences between Chevy and GMC trucks of these years.

the difference between a 68 and a 69-70 grille is the top bar, because the hood ends higher up on the 69-70s. the only interchange problems is the top bar, but you can take it off and put the other one on. the top bar is different between 67-7 and 69-72. but other than that, they bolt right in. and if i'm wrong, someone correct me, but i'm pretty sure i'm not

Thanks, I really like the 67 grille, probably not much of a chance in finding one of those in good shape.

well, if you weren't in mo, i'd have one for ya. it's not dinged up, but it's off of a farm truck, so it's painted white. and chroming those things is spendy! it's usually cheaper to buy one from like gmc pauls or something

also, on the gmc grilles, they only fit right on 67-8 chevy fenders, all the gmc fenders are 67-8 chevy style fenders. the only difference is the marker lights on the 68-ups

GMC Grill

What year would you say this one is that I have. Wanting to sell it, but don't know the year. And to give him another example, since it really doesn't look like the other examples.

step

To take this one step further, let me point out something about GMC headlight bezels. The 1967's had completely round openings for the headlight unlike the 68 and ups which had 2 small divots on the perimeter so you could adjust the headlight aiming without removing the bezel. And you can install the 67/68 style grille on the 69-72 fenders provided you use the corresponding hood and grille topbar. They are also repoping the fender edge trim for these now too.
