Need Photos of 69 250/6
Hi, Would anyone have photos of their 250/6 engine pulley arrangment. Mine has the wrong pulleys and I need to see the correct arrangment of the PS pump and Alt, pulleys and belts.
Thanks, Larry

I'd say look at Shifty's pictures. He just did a 250 swap and took a lot of pictures. You may see what you need to know.

I happen to have a 250 sitting on my garage floor so if you still need pics, let me know and I'll take some for you

If you do not find what you are looking for in shift's pictures let me know and I will take some pictures. I have a 69 C10 short step with a 250 six that is stock. Had been in an uncles barn for 20 years when I bought it.

Look at the pics in my signature. I'll go downstairs and take a picture of my engine bay right now and post them here for you also.

Here - My power steering pump is not installed, but you see where it is supposed to be sitting in the picture from this angle.
There are at least two types of pulleys made - ones with a skinny gap between the two belts and ones with a fatter gap between the belts. I think there may be a single-belt alternator out there, but I don't think you can have power steering with that setup. Hope this helps.

Sorry for the triple-post, but here -
Check out this thread also: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...light=harmonic It talks about problems I had with belt and pulley alignment with the "Fatass" belt gap on the harmonic balancer. Your HB dictates what sized pulleys you will use. You might need to ship your water pump pulley to get it out far enough - they sell them at the parts store.

Here is how mine is. I don't know if it is correct, but it works. They each kind of adjust off of each other.
