NOS Fender Quality Issue - Anyone Else?

I have this NOS passenger side fender and I was looking at it the other day and discovered that the little indentation that goes around the edge of the wheel opening, you know, that little lip right on the edge, doesn't go all the way around on this fender. The front 1/3 of the fender opening has the indentation clear as can be, then it fades and becomes less visible as you go toward the middle and quickly disappears. It looks terrible. I never noticed it before. I looked at all of my other original fenders and that lip is real clear all the way around. Has anybody else had this problem? This fender has it's GM part number sticker on it and it's original box, so I'm pretty sure about it's authenticity. I guess I expected better from an original GM part. I guess the molds or whatever they use to stamp these things were pretty worn by the time they knocked this fender out.

I have heard of that problem with the aftermarket ones.
