I *have* a 327, and I love it. If I had unlimited money, I'd yank it for a Tall-Deck 427, and put the 327 in another truck, prob. a SWB.

Where's the 400? That's what I have & I like it. Of course, BBCs are good too. The only one I got to drive was a '66 C60 dump truck with a 366. Sloooooooooooooooooooooooow truck. Much torque though (more through gearing than that engine I'd say).

Whats wrong with the 283? Nobody voted for it. I voted 350 before I looked at the poll, otherwise I'd give that lil ol 283 a vote.
My dad has a 283 in his 66 1 ton dually dump truck. Runs damn good.
