The vacuum modulator on my TH-350 has transmission fluid in it. It this a sign of a problem? If so what do I need to do to correct the problem? Thanks

definatly a prob...dunno the rest of the answer.
Stop running it, the vac line will suck it up into the engine and cause big troubles. ------------------ '69 G.M.C. 350/350. Your modulator is junk. Get a new one.

the diaphram in the modulator is leaking.replace the modulator.and burning a little trans fluid actualy can clean your valves.it wont hurt anything but do change the modulator.

A little is ok, but let it ingest a whole bunch and see what it does.
Plus, a little bit for a long time will glaze the walls and varnish the piston tops. ------------------ '69 G.M.C. 350/350. Hows your #8 plug? That's the one that usually fouls when a modulator goes. The only cure is to replace the mod. Cost is under $20.00 and simple to replace.
