Thanks 70'_402. I finally got her back on the road, and it feels good to be driving her again. I did spend alot of time cleaning and detailing the engine compartment. Soon I'll be installing the Q-jet and some small oem items to make it complete.

The old 350 …then the new 454HO in my 78’ K10.

Not exactly a daily driver but not show quality either. (Serpentine belt conversion on both engines)

Kevin -
is that the harmonic balancer that came off of that motor? - just curious cause it looks more like a 305 balancer than a 350.

besides looks like you did a pretty sweet job on the motor and used all new hardware and stuff (ARP headbolts?) why not go with a new balancer?

That's the balancer that came off of it. I am considering a new one though as the rubber is cracked pretty good and don't want to take any chances. And yes the headbolts are new ARP. All the externals are ARP stainless. I don't want any rust if I can help it. Now I'm just waiting on a serpentine belt system to arrive so I can get that on. After that then I should be good to go to get everything into the truck. Just in time for warm weather cruising. WhooHoo!!!!!

Is that the TBI setup on the 355? Cant really tell but I'm pretty sure it is, and the knock sensor in the block. Did you put a better camshaft or anything like that in the 355? I know there isn't much room to play with TBI and it being a daily driver but was curious anyway. Isn't the 93 your teal green short bed?

Looking pretty good

Yes the '93 is my Teal green one. And it is a TBI setup. It has a Holley Pro-jection intake and a Holley 2 bbl.throttle body with 2" bores rated at 670 cfm. Everything was rebuilt before I bought the truck and had all new internals. The only thing is the guy I bought it off of could not locate the paper showing the cam size. It is a Comp cam though. Heads were all redone and had larger valves 2.02/1.60 with roller rockers, screw in studs, and cut for teflon valve seals. I just received the brackets for the serpentine belt system yesterday, so I have to get that cleaned up and mounted, then into the truck it goes. So hopefully in a couple of weeks I will have it done. Then I have to concentrate on getting it lowered down.
