If the rocker stud has worked it s way up, then I would get a screw in place stud to replace the stud unless someone makes oversize studs that you could drive into place. The stud has lost the interference fit and will come back out .
The method that I use to adjust valves is to adjust at hot idle, (I use the oil shielding clips to keep oil from squirting everywhere). I turn each adjustment nut to loosen the valve, until it clicks, retighten until the clicking stops and then, tighten 1/4 turn additional. Jim |
