Did you get all those spots cleaned off after I left last night, Im sure you could see them that thing shines,, Whenever you need a hand, you know my number.

Figured I would add a little to this post, since Im the only one from the forum who has seen the project. . Im amazed at what level Curtis is building this truck at, it will be the show winner in every show. The body lines and gaps are amazing, there are more NOS parts in this thing than you can amagine, and his attention to detail is way out of this world. Take your time putting her back together, you have spent way too much $$$$ and time on this to just put it back together in a couple weeks or even months.

If you ever need anything or just someone to show your progress to, just call. You have definetly inspired me to take the Jimmy to a new level. keep up the great work, and maybe take a picture of the black truck with the copper truck parked beside it to show the reflection , that would be

Thank you all so much for the feedback!!! This really makes me feel like all of those hours and sleepless nights have really been worth it now!

I really struggled with which way to go with this project. Over the last eight years I have changed my mind back and forth then finally I decided to go back to an "original appearance" with it. With the exception of the wheels and tires at first glance it will appear all stock. However, it has had many hidden modifications in the engine and drivetrain. The motor is the factory 402 that has been done up to make about 375 to 400 HP. It was never destined to be a racing machine, more of a cruiser in the end. The only other modifications away from factory are just a few accents to try and show a little workmanship such as some powdercoated grey parts to break up the chassis.

Thanks again everyone for the continued help and advice with different topics. I will be sure to post future progress pics as the project moves along.

PS Hey Darren did you mean my Copper truck or yours?

Gorgeous!! Your patience and hard work is showing. Looks like a lot of attention is being paid to each and every detail.

Mine is back in the bodyshop right now. I wish the shop I used three years ago would have done as nice a job. Thank God I bought a great shop with talented guys that take pride in their work. Oh, and they are extremely reasonable.

Looks great! Keep posting pics. Let's see what it looks like with the interior installed.

the 4x4 of course, you'll be using your Cheyenne as a daily driver before I get the Jimmy done. UNLESS, I can talk a couple fellow Calgarians to donate some of their precious time to motivate(make) me work on it.

Here are a few pics of it a short while ago. A quick couple answers to previous questions... The entire chassis is powder coated, and yes that is POR 15 paint on the engine. The engine is all rebuilt and the tranny is built to take about 600 HP the rear end is 3:42's with an Eaton posi. The Tire size is 255/60/15 on 15x8"corvette rallies. Thanks for the questions

hey Curtis, Your truck is looking great. I love the look of black paint on a truck when the body work is done right. you will be so much happier with that truck when it is done than you ever would have if you bought one of ours. You have more respect for a truck if you turnd all the bolts yourself.
