well, use grade 8 bolts on the crossmembers? heh. The actual frame my truck came with was in great shape, no rust back there. but the '69 frame that I'm putting it all on was a farm truck and apparently was parked bed deep in manure or something cos the pads were rusted all the way through.
 if you do findany areas that you are worried about rusting again. I'd use onna those anti-rust primers before painting over it. Also, if you are uncertain about your projects future and exactly whats gonna be done to it, I wouldn't recommend powder coating at all. Remmeber, you can patch sprayed paint, you can't patch powder coating :P thats the best can do heh, not really any authority, I've just been there very recently hehehe |
