71 value
I just became the owner of my first chevy truck. My question is what is it worth. It is orange, 4-spd, 205 transfercase, 3.73 gears with detriot locker, no rust, new clutch, and new tires. The only problem is it motor spun a rod bearing, so im going to build a 383 for it. I paid 500 bucks for it. Did i over pay. What would it be worth after i put a 383 in it.
You comments are greatly apreciated. 403oldsman |

Gord, I was going to offer him $550.
Sounds like a good deal. Welcome to the board from VA. Is it 1/2 ton or 3/4 ton? w/ the 3.73s probably 1/2 ton.

The truck is one color, orange. I just got done building a 406 for it. i was going to build a 383 build i just couldn't throw away the 400 block. The engine is dyno at 345 hp and 497 for torque. i built the whole thing for low end torque because i need to do some heavy towing. The motor cost me about 1500 to build. I got to go to prom this weekend and after that i'm going work on putting it in. Just wanted to keep you guys posted.
