4x4 is not working well!! ?? help??

Somethings wrong with my 4x4

if i put the "4x4 low range" and im really stuck the front wheels arent spinning.

but the light inside the car is on. (on the transfer case lever)

i thought it was the hubs that was bad...but i discovered that i didnt have any !

anyone have an idea?

The newer trucks have a thermal actuator that sometimes fail - that would be the first thing I would check into. Don't worry, your english is fine.

were on the truck does the "thermal actuator" live ?

anyone know how to test it?

Does your 4x4 work when your not stuck?
WHat kind of vehicle do you have?

Chances are the little element in your automatic hubs (thermal actuator) is burnt out.

You'll need to take the hubs apart to check them out. But, since I have never taken one apart, I am not so sure I can help you out here...

Yeah, it sounds like the actuator. I have never dealt with them though.

i have a 89 chevy stepside

it seems to work sometimes but sometimes not.. ?
ill test it more this weekend

is it expensive to buy ? the acumulator?
