I still hoping to score a burb I"m chasing down, but I thought I would explore the other options. I'd like to find a chassis real close by (Tristate region VT, NH, and MA) that can be had for fair money. I have a 69 C-10 panel that wants to get lightly slammed and the 4X4 chassis it resides on currently is awaiting to become a pick-up.

I have a 69 GMC LWB. Need to strip the cab and front clip off of it. It has a broken rear leaf but if you are going to slam it you'll be replaceing those as it is. I would let it go for $100.00 but you will have to wait until I can get the body stripped off this in june. I'm a little farther than you want to go here in Pittsburgh, PA, but I figured I'd at least offer.

Mike Files, How far up in Maine are ye? What is the condition of the frame/ tailing arms I will consider yours if I can't get something close by soon.

GloryHound, I appreciate the offer, but I have a 67 LWB on hand. I'm looking 71 or 72.

1972 cheyenne c-10 roller in jackson new jersey ,no trany . has posi rear, all tires hold air. trans cross member has small hole torched out. trailing arms are ok. with title and tags $100. SOLD

I have a 67 panel that I'll be swapping over to a 4x4 frame soon, I'm in central VT.

Beautiful time of year to visit northern Maine though.

Research getting the frame from Mike first and let me know.

Mike, I checked you out in the atlas. Looks like if you fired a 10 gauge in a southern direction the recoil would make you step into Canada.

VTblazer, I have a 67 chassis here that just needs trailing arms, but I wanted to use a disk brake frame. Thanks for the offer though. It's kind of funny that you are putting a panel on a 4X4 chassis while I'm taking one off.
Brought more parts home today. Lots of brackets intakes. I also scored a Borg warner 5 speed out of a 87 Z28 350/5spd/ posi, for my panel.

What's your 4x4 frame? Year? 1/2 ton or 3/4 ton? Auto?

VTBlazer, The plan goes something like this. Build the panel with a two wheel for long distance cruising, Use the 4X4 (67 with 72 3.73 axles)frame and the best of my parts to build a plow/ utility vehicle, Replace the mill in my 1 ton, and take the rest and scab together a 4X4 (69 short step) to sell to help pay for it all. Also sell the rest of the stock around here.

Just a suggestion.You might be better off with that `Burb/panel frame and just swap-in the discs.Were you getting drop-spindles anyway?The PU frames have different contours.Its easy enough to come up with the rest of the disc set-up.

Now that's news to me. I don't have alot of experience with burbs and panels.
I was told that the frame were the same as long wheel base trucks. How bad is the difference? I guess I'm still on the hunt......

Wow, nice! I didn't see any reference to what years are covered, but it would appear that burbs and LWB truck frame are the same. Caught friggin pnemonia and I've been down for a few days but the antibiotics are kickin in and I'm bout ready to rip again.
