A Little Progress...........Finally!

I finally got the new engine set in. nothing special .030 over 350, mild cam, reworked stock heads. Now all I have to do is tear it all apart again so I can install my newly acquired TPI system.
...............I see lots of polishing in my future......

Looking good.
It'll look even better with the TPI unit.

mathufham -
I believe that it is a LT1 TPI unit and not a RAM Jet 350 unit.

N2-
I've heard mixed reviews about the Zoops seal. If you have used it or know someone that has used it, what's your opinion on it's effectiveness? (There's a wax-type product on the market that claims to seal the pores of billet Al.)

thanks for the compliments guys, Im sure I am gonna wish I spent the extra $$$ for chrome, but if you dotn have the extra $$$ that makes the decision pretty easy.
No it is not a RamJet, just a regular TPI (camaro/firebird style).
I dont really know about that ZoopSeal either, but if it works I may use it.

There's your answer. I have never used Zoop Seal, but I "hear" that it works great. Anything has to be better than constantly trying to polish aluminum....

Thanks for the feedback. How long do you go between applications?

Polished Al. ... Polishing Al.

Well your better off with it being polished iv'e seen quite a few TPI units that were chrome and in certain parts of the lower manifold it starts lifting off.

But it could be from a poor plating job but like i said iv'e seen several of them do that.

I also have a polished TPI system for quite a while now and i can tell ya it's a lota work to keep it looking good.

I spoke to an old tymer at a show not too long ago and he turned me on to this stuff he was using and he swor by it. It's called Metal Armor Aluminum polish.

I still haven't got any of it but i watched him use it and it worked really good without any effort.
