Disk swap 85-69

Ok--I am swapping disk from a 85 1/2 2wheel to my 69 2 wheel that had drums.I see a huge difference in the size of the lower A-frames and upon closer inspection the (control?) tubes from the 85 are not real good shape. Can I use the 69 A frames with the 85 spindle and new ball joints for the 85 type? I see differences in the upper a arm where it mounts to the bolts in the frame as in the factory spacer is completly different---SO i want to keep it simple with the 69 a frames and the 85 spindle---HELP please

Just change your ball joint to the 85 style and everything will bolt right up

you will need the later tierod assys(innners, outers, & sleeves), & the centerlink also. You may also find that differences in steering stops will shorten your turning radius.....no biggie tho, a little session with a grinder will take care of that L
