Found a '69 C/20 stepside at the junkyard(south TX)

I just bought the grille/front bumper off of a '69 3/4 ton stepside at the local yard this week. It has a leaf spring Dana rear end, but the engine/tranny is gone. It was an auto truck, non tilt column but it's there, even has the pointer and fiber optic cable! There's a lot of good parts on this truck. Rear end, drums might be OK, spindles, front springs, etc. Just thought I'd let someone know. I couldn't really tell what kind of shape the bed floor is in, the stepsides have some bondo on 'em, but they look salvageable. If someone is interested let me know I can get prices on parts.

I thought you were also looking for an automatic pointer and fiber cable? I still need a nice pointer and cable for a 67-70 if you can get it. Let me know.
Thanks
Mark

Sorry I hadn't replied in a while guys, I forgot about posting this.

Adam- I'd bet you could get the bed cheap but yeah distance is an issue alright.

Mark- I would have taken that fiber optic cable/pointer in a heartbeat but he won't part out the steering column. quote: "no, either you buy the column or you leave it alone" Yeah I could just take it but he always keeps his eye on those 67-72 trucks that he's got, and I don't wanna piss him off.

Well, BAD NEWS on the stepside. It was crushed yesterday. And today when I went out there to buy the RUST FREE hood off of it, the truck was gone. I was like, hey man, where's the blue 3/4 ton stepside you had? "oh i crushed it yesterday i think" I also had the opportunity to see an awesome shape 68 c10 stepside get crushed, then stacked between two oldmobiles. You could still see the bowtie 10 emblem on the fender sticking out.

Yeah that was another thing I was pissed about. It was either buy the column for 50 bucks or don't touch it. I sure as hell wasn't gonna pay 50 bucks for a fiber optic cable and pointer assembly, even though it was mint. The chrome indicator was awesome too.

I dont know what the price for junk cars is in texas, but here in johnson city tennesse they pay you $5.00 a hundred lbs, A average car will bring you 140 to 175 bucks. People are driving them in there ,pulling the tank and wheels and get the $$ That is sad.. I want to look at a 70 jimmy cst with all trim panels, got there, just coming out of the chrusher?
