87 3/4 ton 4x4 front diff question
what front end is stock in these suburbans is it the dana 44 or were they the chevy 10 bolt by then? if they were the chevy 10 bolt what was the ring diam? 8.5"?

8.5" 10-bolt corp. axle. Same ring/pinion and differential as the 8.5" 10-bolt rear axle used in 1/2-tons.
Dana 44 was phased out gradually between 77 and 80.

are they 28 or 30 spline?

10-bolt front are 28-spline unless its a '89.5-91 model.
