Core support ?
Is the below core support from a 67 - 68 or a 69 - 72? I know that they are slightly differant, but I 'm not 100% certain which it is based on the pic. Gut feelsays that this is off a .69-72 which is what I need....
Thanks in advance! http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...RK%3AMEWA%3AIT Last edited by Big Bad 1972 Blazer; 04-24-2005 at 10:11 PM. |

Just looking at the grill mount in the center and it looks like it is a 69 to 72 piece. From what I understand concerning the differences between the 67-68 core support and the 69-72 is the fact that the 67-69 has holes drilled in the bottom for the gravel guard that goes between the grill and bumper other wise they are the same. The big difference is the grill support which can be seperated from the core support and new ones bought.

True about the shipping, I got a chuckle out of that too. Fortunately, My sister lives about 30 mins away. What better reason is there to visit friends & family other than picking up truck parts?!?!?!
In regards to what year the support is, I know the wiring paths and other minor things are different, but I thought that the head lights were in a slightly differant location on the 69-72's. If that isn't the case, then the other minor differances I can live with. If it is the case...I'm hoping that I get some more confirmation that it is a 69 & up, other than my gut feel. |

That is 69-72. You can tell by the headlight buckets. The 67-68 supports are flat and 69-72 have the raised buckets. John

69-72 For sure.
It's kinda rusty hopefuly you dont blow holes thur it under the battery tray when blasting. It's a heck of a lot beter than what I started with for my 67. Mario

Thanks guys for the confirmation!
I'm hopping that I can score it for around the $30 bid price that he's asking, no shipping since I'll pick it up in person. In that way, if it does need minor repair...no big deal. I'd rather weld in a couple of patch panels in comparison with trying to repair the one that I've got on my Blazer right now...anything around & below where the battery tray should be (rusted away) is gone! <-- Thank you battery acid, salt, & mother nature!!! |
