Brake Light Flickers... occasionally.
Ok, so I have a 1970 K/20 with a BB 402 in it.
On occasions, my brake light will flicker. It used to do it only when I accelerated, but then I set the timing a little and now it flickers with no rhyme or reason. I first thought it was a parking brake issue, but found that I have no wires connected to the parking brake. So now I'm thinking its a vacuum oriented... maybe? I haven't had any brake troubles, but maybe I should bleed them anyway?? Any suggestions would be great. Thanks.

the brake light comes on when there is unequal pressure in the lines...

the light has nothing to do with the booster or the vacume in it, it deals with teh hyd pressure in the master cylinder.
I'll bet the brown wire is not hooked to the nipple on the bottom of theproportionaing valve, and when you floor it the wire swings and grounds out causing the light to come on. |

I found it. The brown wire was rubbing on some metal in the engine compartment and it wore through - grounding out occasionally. It took a while to find, but it's fixed now. Thanks for the help!
