Reasons for backfiring
Hey guys/gals;
After few weeks of working on interior, I got to drive my truck last weekend but boy! it was backfired eack time I let the pedal go especially in downhill. It doesn't back fire when my foot is on the gas or when it idles. I have glass pack mufflers (I never had one before), can some of it related to them? Does warmer weather has anything to do with this also? Sorry if the questions are not smart ones. Thanks. |

Sounds like it's just the glass packs prolly,depending on where they are and how much pipe is following them,determines how much it backfires.
Some people like that sound ![]()

glasspacks always backfire like that when you're hauling a$$ and you let off the throttle.
