Okay the buick got worse. I installed a new oxygen sensor because the car gave error code 13. After installing it I left the car running while I put up the tools and washed my hands. So about 5 minutes later I get in the car and its idling rough, I try to give it gas and it dies. Then it wont restart, but its trying. Whats weird is it always starts easy and runs really good, even if I drive it. Its when I stop and let it idle a bit that it seems to get hot or something and wants to quit. I tested the spark with a spark tester and its bright. I think its the fuel filter, but I dont know why it would run good when its cold or being driven. Can anyone please help me ? Ive got 1500 in this car and I need the money bad.

Do these things run an EGR valve? I had a kind of similar problem with my 90 Burb/350 EFI a month ago. A new EGR Valve straightend it up right away.

The problem is it's not a 67-72 Chevy truck.

Yea, Could be the the fuel filter.
Also when was its last tune up?
My 92 OldsmoBuick was running crappy last week and it turned out to be wires. They were original with 150K on them.
Also sounds like it could be the MAF sensor but that should trip code 33? Thats an expensive part to just through at it.

Oh yea, Have the coil pack tested.

I'm guessing your coil pack is bad. I think my father went through this problem a few times with his 92 Olds. You need to check the coil pac with an ohm meter to make sure they are with in spec. That car could have 1 of 2 coil types ranging from $45 to $80
