front end noise
ive got a 79'k20 fitted with p/s,when the truck is parked and you turn from lock to lock there's a clunking noise that can be heard.any ideas?

its just a loud single clunk on each lock.a bit like if you push in on a bit of tin and it pops back out.

Check the spring hangers. I have a 72 4x4 that "pops" when you turn lock to lock. Have a friend turn the wheel while you look at the hangers, see if they flex. I finally figured out it was a loose rivet on the front spring hanger. I am just going to grind it off and put a bolt in it.
