Msd Plug Wires?

Anyone had any experience with MSD's. I've had good luck with accel's but bad luck with Taylors. (Yesterday). Two of them go fried coming back from Springfield. I don't care for the huge boots on the Taylors with my headers. Since I'm getting best engine compartment awards now I need to keep them red. Oh and the MSD's are supposed to be made to length for a Chevy small block. That was part of my problem. Too much wire.
