GREAT start to the weekend

I kinda discovered that my truck didnt want to start after 5 months of sitting around. Not surprising as it was wheezing popping and running like a POS before I stopped using it in November.

After eliminating a few things I decided to go and sort out a new cap and rotor.. however being in the UK it ended up cheaper importing a full dizzy rebuild kit I scored on ebay....

Scooted home after work today stipped and rebuilt the dizzy new coil balast reisisitor the works..

BRUUMMMMM BRUUUMMMM *****IN'

So I'm happy and it really sounds good to get her up and runnign again.... now I can get it her moved and start doing some other stuff.. Excellent so a great start to my holiday weekend it has turned out to be.... sorry but I just had to tell someone, altho I guess my neigbours know hahahah headers and straight thru's onto resonator tips I think everyone for a good distance knows..

Heart's In Scotland

I'm an American born Scot. Good to here from the homeland. Truck is killer. Send me a case of St. Andrews will you? My given name is Michael Andrew Todd (of clan Gordon) but my friends call me Hot Rod. Take care.

Just curious, what holiday are you celebrating in Scotland, since you mentioined holiday weekend? Maybe you're celebrating because it's the weekend before my birthday, but I doubt it.

Got any pics of your truck?

Glad to hear of one of our trucks in Scotland.

Family moved to "the Americas" in the mid 1600's. Family name is Harrell, a sept of the McLeod's. Also, my Grandmother was a McLean, my Great Grandmother a Campbell.

Pardon the pun, but would yours be considered one of the 1972 Highlander models?

"Holiday" in Scotland, UK and Europe is used interchangeably with "vacation" here. So he may just have meant the weekend or the beginning of a vacation. Probably off doing donuts "sticky buns" in the street now...LOL...or just enjoying a good Lagavulin.
