question about vacuum pump
Has anyone used this air vacuum pump? Can I use it to not only pull a vacuum but also hold a vacuum to check for leaks in my AC system? Here is the link for it. http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/cta...temnumber=3952

I thought about that pump too to make a power break bleeder.
For the price I wouldnt be to sure on the quality. What I did......... Find an old refridg. that someone is junking. Remove the compressor. Makes a neat little compressor and vacuum pump. It will pull vacuum to 28 inches and make alot of pressure.......and its free! edit)- Be careful about pressure with this though. A pressure switch is a good idea. and yes it will hold a vacuum.
