Deluxe Window Trim for Windshield and Rear window. Is there any tricks to putting this into a new gasket? Anything at all wood be helpful, or is it just a PITA.
Thanks Jamie |

Have not done a rear window. Suspect similar to front. Lay out gasket, install chrome first, install gasket/chrome assy on to glass, run rope around window channel leaving the 2 ends hanging center bottom, with 1" masking tape tape from glass to glass over chrome and gasket in several areas around perimeter (helps keep trim in place), install taped assy in bottom of opening, have assistant push from outside while pulling rope from inside, work from side to side until installed. Use silcone based spray lube for install, Pull out remains of tape.It helps if the trim is PERFECT and even then it still wants to pop out when you install the assembly. The more hands the better on the outside.
Have fun with it. Oh, there is a thread or 2 about this somewhere...

My glass guy made me help. He really didn't want to do it. Think he was worried about tweaking the trim. So with me helping he could blame it on me. Came out fine though.
