Road find pics enclosed
Thanks to a thread started by stllookin, and a pic posted by dtlilly, I claimed this bench seat as road find on my way home from work yesterday. Pretty sure it's a blazer seat. But by no means positive of it. Anyway, I wanted it for the springs. I am re-upholstering my spare bench and the side bolster spings are broken. The springs I need were there and fit after I cut a link off. Will post more pics of the completed spring repair. If anyone wants any of the leftover parts, they are free + actual freight.
Here is a pic of my busted side bolster springs on my project bench. Here is a pic of the salvaged spring. And for good measure, here is a pic of my pride and joy.

If it's a Blazer rear seat, it's 73-up vintage based upon the vinyl pattern. Cool freebee nonetheless.

I agree with CPNE.
2nd gen Blazer or Sub. back seat. The mounting brackets rule out a van.

I got a couple seats, and the drivers springs are gone out of each ( go figure) do you know if the pass side ones are usable to fix one seat out of two?

Purple, that's exactly what I'm doing now. You gotta cut out 1 link of the spring but looks like it will work. You can only use the verticle spring though. Horizontal ones are too short.
Meathead, They are yours. I'll drag em to work tomarrow, box em and weigh em. Freight will be from 95673 zip.

Purple, I re-read your post. I missunderstood earlier. I don't think the passenger side spring can be used to fix it. I will double check this afternoon and get back to you on Friday. ...You might be able to just rotate the spring 180degrees...
Shifty, the long springs on this blazer passenger bench are shorter than the drivers bench. They wont work for ya. They even have the wrong contour in their bend, so you can't even fab something up to MAKE it work. Edit: Meathead, I managed to grab your stuff. The armrest are still on the.. pipes? Will try to get em off with what little tools I have here at work. Regardless, the stuff will be boxed up and ready to go this afternoon.

Cool, well, thanks anyway :\. I might just go to an upholstery shop and try to find something I can fab up. We'll see. Not sure how bad it is yet.

Being a fellow AF guy, you gotta do me a big favor and fix that word in your quote! Your daughter looks like she recovered OK from the horsey incident. She's wearing that cast like a crown! Great to see her smiling. Good job on the seat score! Take care, HotRod (I mean, Mike Todd Msgt. USAF)

I think the passenger side bolster spring is good and all of the middle springs are good. Lower seat frame is shot and so is the driver seat track, both cracked. Will post pics for you Wed.. Edit: Oh, free + freight.

I'll step out of line. Pass along to whomever is next. I haven't had time to tear my seat apart and this weekend is totally out of the question - heading to Sarasota/Bradenton to visit the folks, then trying to hook up with one of the board members to pick up a 4spd tranny.

Meathead, I sent you a pm on the seat arms a while back. You still want em? Box is 19x17x6 weight is 9.04lbs. with my FedEx discount, freight is $12.68. If you want it shipped with someone else let me know. I have no preferance.

Ok Damage here's your pics. Turns out my drivers spring IS broke. It has a verticle spring but it is a lot differant than the one on my 72 seat. Passenger side is complete and unbroken. Don't think you can use it on the drivers side without modification to the spring and/or the seat frame. Middle springs are good. Think your chances of bending the middle springs (even with heat) to fit are nil. Will glady ship em to ya for the cost of the freight.... I think it would be in your best interest to visit an upholstery shop (like cdowns suggested) and a few wrecking yards before you potentially waste your money on the stuff I have. Let me know whatcha want to do.
Rich
